Review of Delhi University Delhi University (DU) is one of India's most prestigious institutions, known for its academic excellence, vibrant student life, and rich heritage. Established in 1922, DU offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Arts, Science, Commerce, Law, and other fields. With top-ranked colleges like St. Stephen’s, Hindu, Miranda House, and SRCC, DU consistently maintains high educational standards. The university is famous for its competitive admission process, with high cut-offs making it challenging for students to secure a seat. However, those who do get in benefit from experienced faculty, diverse courses, and numerous research opportunities. The affordable fee structure compared to private universities makes DU an attractive option for students from all backgrounds. Beyond academics, DU is known for its lively campus culture. Students actively participate in cultural societies, sports, debates, and college festivals like Mecca (Hindu College) and Crossroads (SRCC). The university’s location in Delhi provides excellent exposure, internships, and job opportunities. However, infrastructure in some colleges needs improvement, and administrative delays can be frustrating. Despite these challenges, DU remains a top choice for students seeking a well-rounded educational experience, strong career prospects, and an exciting college life.

Hello Vani,

For DU admission 2023, to the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, candidates have to take the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) exam. This exam has been made mandatory for all students seeking admission to DU. The requirements for the admissions are stated here, candidates have to meet the requirements in order to secure admission. Delhi University UG admission will consider CUET UG scores, while PG admissions will consider CUET PG scores. Candidates willing for admission have to show up for the appropriate exams.

Candidates who pass the entrance exam then must register on Delhi University's Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) webpage in order to receive details on seat allocations. Multiple rounds of seat allocation are conducted using the CSAS platform. The combination of the chosen college/ university and programme, the candidate's rank on the merit list, the candidate's category (UR, EWS, SC, ST, OBC), and the availability of seats are some of the few variables that affect seat distribution at Delhi University. At Delhi University, 15% of seats are set aside for candidates from outside Delhi, with the remaining 85% reserved for Delhi candidates. The DU PhD admission 2023-24, will be done based on the Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET), which will be followed by a Personal Interview (PI) session, conducted by the respective department, in which you are seeking admission.
